This might be caused by a common conflict between your 7600 series videocard and your computers chipset. Try disabling "write combining".

To do this, goto the display properties (on the Windows desktop right mouseclick and choose "properties"). Then choose the tab "Settings" and click the "Advanced" button. Now choose the tab "Troubleshooting" and uncheck the checkbox "Enable writecombining" and click the "OK" button afterwards.

You might need to restart the computer afterwards before testing wether that solves your problem or not.

If that doesn't fix it, try other/newer drivers. And when that doesn't help things, you might have overheated the card (and damaged the RAM chips on it). You might want to clean any dust from the card anyways.

When the problem still occurs, please let us know, so we can continue troubleshooting ...

Do your PC support the above hardware requirements?
The most common input no support would be your graphic card is not up to the mark to play the PC games.

Is your graphics card drivers up to date to the latest?
Have you updated your DirectX to the latest version?

Hope it helps.

Yellow exclaimation mark for Nividia Geforce 8800 GT under Display adapters in Device Manager screen. its says windows has stopped this device because it has encoutered problems. (code 43).

try to right on it and choose unistall then restart the system to auto reinstall the said driver..maybe it needs only to update the driver that is why there is a bang on it

Can you suggest an agp 8x video card compatible with a7v880 mobo? thanks! my nvidia fx5200 got busted...

Hello.

Since you have a ASUS A7V880 Motherboard, this means you have a VIA chipset, which does not like ATi Video Cards.

You can only go with Nvidia AGP Video Cards.

Current "Available" Models are

Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 , 5500
Nvidia GeForce 6200, 6600 GS
Nvidia GeForce 7300 GS, 7600GS

The Best Graphic Card available from the Nvidia GeForce series is the 7600GS

Nvidia Driver doesn't seem to work

If you're really sure that the video card is ok and the rest of the system components are compatible with it, I suggest to search for a nVidia driver on www.guru3d.com ...they have modifyed video drivers to work better. Also, a directX 9.0c download would be helpfull......

Having problems with drivers after iv downgraded to xp pro from vista on my laptop, iv got the network controller iv downloaded like 3 nvidia geforce 6100 go drivers but they never let me install them it...

Using one of the drivers you have already downloaded for the geForce. (Remember where you extracted them to)

Right click on "My Computer", "Properties","Hardware", "Device Manager"

Click on the VGA adapter that is not installed. Click the update driver button and tell the wizard you will specify the location of the driver. Then next click "don't search. I will choose the driver to install". Click the "Display adapter" and "next". On the next screen click "have disk". Go to the folder where you extracted the drivers to and then you will see that you can click "Geforce 6100/6150 (whichever one you have)

GeForce 7600GS AGP 512MB card compatibility

it's hard to know,  it may be best to take your pc into a computer store and get them to test the compatability before you take it out of the store,  that way you can be sure that it works

Coloured And Dotted Lines Across My Screen

Firstly, start your pc in safe mode (f8) on boot up. This will start your pc in vga mode, and hopefully the lines are still there, which will indicate a faulty graphics card, if they aren't it may be a problem driver. If no lines, go to Add/remove programmes and uninstal your graphics driver. Re boot pc then when it finds your card make sure you point Windows to the folder in which you have saved the driver files. The driver should then install, see if any change. You may have to try some older drivers, as Nvidia can be awkward at times. I have had varying problems with Nvidia and replaced with ATI cards with no problems.
