My receiver also has the same problem, I believe i have the wrong power cord, but have been unable to find the correct voltage at a used store yet (ie goodwill or a pawn shop) and refuse to shell out 19/20 bucks for a new one... sometimes if i leave it on while it says overload, it will back out and start working, but I haven't been able to keep it consistent. Once i get it working i just leave it on.

Same problem. The reciever is 15 years old and there has´nt been any problems until now. I have unplugged the unit from the wall and waited about 2 or 3 hours before plugging it back in. The reciever starts working again from time to time, but I can´t see that it has anything to do with heat or dust, I have opened it and carefully vacuumed it clean.

It could be overheating - try aiming a fan at it for a while, see if the problem stops.

On switching my technics sa-dx750 it says switching off overload

The question is what is causing the overload? The power supply or the output devices on the heat sink?
If you have accidently shorted a speaker wire, then the answer will be output devices, otherwise it could be anything in the power section. You may find a burnt or damged device with either of the causes.

Technics SA-G9057 overload

Check the fan connections at the back. The connections (just two flimsy metal prongs) came apart (I believe), so I have had to re-enforce them with electrical tape so the connections stay together until I investigate a further replacement fan. For now the connections are extremely sensitive to motion/viberation/impact/etc... but it does work now.
