ExpressCard Slot One 26pin Express card slot is available to support one ExpressCard/34mm or one ExpressCard/54mm expansion card. This new interface is faster by using a serial bus supporting USB 2.0 and PCI Express instead of the slower parallel bus used in the PC card slot. (Not compatible with previous PCMCIA cards.)
You must purchase a wireless network adapter expresscard style: heres one from ebay buy it now lol:
First of all make sure that the wireless is turned on on the netbook. Then you should be able to right click on the one computer at the bottom right hand portion of the screen near the time and click view available wireless networks. If it does not show any networks, that means the wireless is not turned on. If it shows networks other than yours I would take it near the wireless router and hit refresh on the laptop or just repeat the right click and view available wireless networks. If you are near the wireless router and it does not pick it up then your wireless card might be faulty.
Right click the wireless icon in the lower right hand corner by your clock and click view available wireless networks. Then select configure advanced settings. Click on the wireless networks tab.
In the lower part of the screen select your wireless network and remove it. Reboot the laptop
Once back on, view available wireless networks again, double click yours and join it again. It may ask you for your password so make sure you have that handy.
If you are running windows vista or windows 7 then you need to go to the power setting on the system, in the advanced options and look for wireless power setting. Turn the when on battery setting to leave the wireless card running instead of turning it off.
Go to display settings, screen saver, power options, balanced power or power saver, and look in there for the wireless adapter.
The wireless LED will be lit if the Wireless connection is turned ON. Please check the LED indicators that are available below the LCD and check if the Wireless indicator is lit. You can enable the Wireless connection from the Windows Mobility Center too. Open the Control Panel and select classic view and you can find the Windows Mobility Center. You can find "Turn ON wireless connection" there. You can also enable the Wireless connection from the Network and sharing center.
then try connecting to your router by right-clicking the network icon from the taskbar (lower right-hand corner of your screen) then select view available networks and if you see your network there, click it and then connect.
HI Boston I believe the wireless card that you have in your laptop is a dell wireless card.
