Re: No sound from speakers

Well, Hold on here for just a minute! Does the system play other sources, like DVD or tape or anything? Before I trash the amp or receiver, I like to get a death certificate to that effect before I do so....accordianman

Hi, You have to make sure you are using the "audio out" from the dvd/surround into the "audio in" on your TV also in some case TVs will need to change the "input" with your remote to see where you connected your dvd/sur also some TVs have a switch for "n" or "off" for internal speakers and also you could have that option in your audio menu on your TV, Hope it help, good luck. This reson you are not hearing any "TV AUDIO" through your RCA surround system would be due to your tv sound output not being connected to an audio input into your surround system. You can hear DVDs,CDs and radio possibly mp3 if connected, as these are built in to the amplifier which the speakers connect to.
If the tv has a Line out (via phono plugs) and NOT via headphone out, connect it to an audio input on the RCA surround system. If the RCA has no other available inputs, well....there ain't a lot you can do but watch CSI with the sound from the TV and then Star Wars (for example) through the TV and Surround system.

Audio problems with Bose 321 system

Hi, sounds like the centre front speaker is disconnected. Check the wiring on that, if all is good there then a fault most likely with the amp. To make sure try connecting a different speaker to the centre channel just for test purpose to eliminate a speaker/cable fault. Best of luck

Will play dvds with sound fine...but no sound from tv

You have to connect extra red & white audio cable from your TV's (or cable box, if you have one) AUDIO OUT to the Home Theater's AUX IN 2 at the back (below Video In). Set the HTS unit to AUX 2 using the AUX button on the remote control and you should be able to get sound.

Not playing voice but playing music/surround

sounds like you may have a dodgy scart lead.check that none of the pins are loose/damaged. Also check the sound settings on the tv, it may have reset itself to the default sound setting. Or it might just be the audio settings on your dvd player have been adjusted, almost all dvd movies have there own audio adjustments.

How to get sound through speakers with tv and not just dvds

Just wire your TV audio out to one of the receivers (DVD player) audio in and select AUX when you want the TV sound to play through the surround sound. You also might want to turn the volume down or off on your TV to get the full surround sound feeling, but that's your call.
