Question about GE EasyCam Webcam

Microcam pro Hi, I have the GE microcam pro and have it up and running but have no sound from the mic...i can hear my mother when she calls but she can not hear me. Any ideas of things i can try?? Thank you, colleen

First thing to do is connect your microphone at the back of the computer near the audio out socket.( color pink socket). if not solve then try to do this.

On task bar you can see the volume control. point it and double click. can see master volume window. click option then " properties" on show the following volume control. check the " Mic Volume" click ok.you can now see the "mic volume" Uncheck the "mute box" and drag up the volume meter.then close.

Whenever i plug in both the headphone and the mic, it randomly disconnects my headset speakers and doesnt even pick up my mic. When i plug in just the headphone i hear sounds but it doesnt pick up mic....


You have to firstly test your head phones on another computer.... If it works in another computer than firstly update your anti virus program and then re install your drivers.... If it does not solve the problem you can re plug the cable of sound card on mother board... If problem does not solved than your sound card might have problem.

When calling,i can hear the person i called but they cant hear me


Hi..

Looks like problem is on your side. This is may due to a faulty microphone on your phone or Mic is set to be on mute.

1. Please check that nothing is clotted on Microphone. This is a small hole on bottom side of your phone.
2. Please check that other party can hear you when you're using a Hands-free / Bluetooth ear phones with mic on it. If they can hear you, when you use a hands-free, problem is with your phone's on-board microphone.
3. You can also check that, while on a call, your mic is not set on Mute. This can be done as on call, select Options , look for Mute / Unmute. If Unmute is present, select it unmute the mic.
4. You can use Mute button Provided on the top side of the phone. While on the call, press this button to Mute / Unmute the mic. If the mic is set to Mute mode, other party won't hear any sound from you.


Hope this will solve the issue.

Pls, i will like to know how i can get a pro sound with my beringer b2pro mic with my xenyx 1204usb mixer. i mean mic settings


The mic will give very good sound assuming you put it in a studio environment and have no speakers being driven by it that the mic can "hear" or it will feedback instantly.

Your studio should have proper sound deadening on the walls ceiling and floor. There is a lot of information on the web about setting up a studio. Search for it with google. The more studio-like the environment, the more like pro sound you will get. You will NOT get pro-sound in a bare garage or a room in a house without handling the sound reflections in the room. These mics hear EVERYTHING... they are a high quality mic.

DG965RY mother board mic is not working


HI,
there may be problem in mic hardware. Check it on some other system. It there is no problem in hardware then it should work fine there.

Else
if there is problem in driver of mic/sound card then reinstall it. Find latest one from net. and use it.


Else
if there is problem in settings of mic. Then see volume/sound card properties/ sound card software.
there is option to test mic and also to boost it.
Boosting and noise reduction options help enhancing performance of mic.

Well i just bought the ge minicam pro ho98067.the mic doesnt work


You do not say what your OS is and if the minicam has a built in mic or what program you want to chat in
This is how I set my mic up with Yahoo Messenger X Vista Home Premium
BODY,.aolmailheader {font-size:10pt; color:black; font-family:Arial;} a.aolmailheader:link {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} a.aolmailheader:visited {color:magenta; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} a.aolmailheader:active {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} a.aolmailheader:hover {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} TEST SPEAKERS Right click on speaker icon in System Tray Select "Playback Devices" The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible Right click on the volume graph and click "Test" Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC Click "Recording" tab. Set required mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties" In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click OK Click "Levels" tab and set slider to 80% ( adjust to suit later) Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

CONFIGURE TO MESSENGER Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'no proxies' or 'connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes > Apply > OK Click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Calling and Audio Set mic and speakers to show Default equipment Run call up assistant to test audio equipment > Apply > OK

WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER
> Show menu > tools > audio and video set up - set mic as default -check settings > Next > set webcam as default - check settings > FINISH

I can hear other people, but they can not hear me. Worked before?


go to the sound icon on the lower right of your screen and make sure the mic is not muted... you may have to look in the menu for additional controls.

Sound problems


Hi mack79, I would assume that you are using Yahoo Messenger on a Windows machine. By "I've done the mic set-up ...works fine there", again I would assume that you have tried the YM Call Setup Assistant and you have a green light on that. By "...connected ...doesn't...pick... voices.", perhaps you simply have to activate handsfree. If my basis for assumptions are off, pls post back with details: 1. laptop or desktop; 2. are you using an external keyboard with Audio in/out; 3. is the Logitech built-in mic the only mic attached to your PC; and 4. are you using headset or external speakers? they may need to increase the mic volume in the sound settings, and even better if they are using a laptop it may well have mic boost in the settings. Tell them also to make sure they set the cam up in the relevant im programme they are using.
