Gould, heres your fix, replace both IC`s marked "MCZ3001D" on the top of the chips, they are both located on the "D" board, if your not a tech but you know how to do solder work you can buy the IC`s here 1-800-575-9833,very common fault for your set

If you turn it on and the, Power/Standby green light blinks slow 6 times; then it becomes a red fast blink 6 times, pause, then continues to blink red fast 6 times, again and again. this means when it's blinking 6 times is indication of electrical circuitry malfunction. The Television will need service.

TCP50V10 6 blinks no picture

HERE is a answer I remember seeing on a site that charges for answers:There are a couple of different things that could cause the 6 blink in your model, the first is the power supply, and the second the main board. Also either sustain or scan driver board can cause this problem.

To know exactly what board is the cause, you need to have electronic repair experience, and test equipment. If you have this let me know and I will assist you in the troubleshooting of this tv. Otherwise you will need a repairman at this point.

You can expect a bill of anywhere between $300-$400, this is a good average, however it could be more or less.

I am sorry I don't have a quick fix or easy answer for you on this one

The Power light blinks 6 times faster and 1 time slower and OFF.

6 short blinks followed by a pause of 3 seconds,
1 long blink of 3 seconds to finish the sequence.

The L.E.D. code indicates a fault with your 5v d.c. power circuit. The circuit board will have to be troubleshooted to locate exactly what component has failed.

Do you have the service manual?

Sony KP-51WS500 will not turn on

I believe the problem is either in the G board ( power supply) or the D Board ( high voltage) as the 3 blinks indicate the G board, and 7 indicates the D board and 6 indicates the +5 line a and b boards. So with that many codes its most likely the G board (power supply) You can get a new replacement G board at the following link which comes with free tech support to help you plug the baord in which is very easy. Its listed under the Sony parts category and its the A-1316-566-A sony G board, Here is the link.
