G2 touch screen doesn't work any longer

this is generally caused by the magnetron overheating,you need to check the cooling motor for function and that the airways on the machine are not blocked as this is a commonly looked over reason for overheating magentron triggers.the other fault is a failed part

It is a logic problem or at least electrolytic capacitors that dim the display too far. The display could be repaired if it isn't a ic (logic) problem if it is then you need the whole display replaced

The problem is in the magnetron, or the inverter board if less than 7 years old. Part cost alone will approach or exceed the value of a new microwave oven.

there a many reasons as to why the pad isnt working unless you replace the whole symatic board this is were the fault lays not the touch panal then the fault needs to be found by a tech and repaired

Possibilities are:
There is a harness that is no longer connected(possibly loosened when the fuse was replaced)
There are bad relays on the control board
The touch panal is not giving the command to the Control board

It's most likely a failed high voltage rectifier diode or high voltage transformer.

Your generator may be putting out a square wave instead of a true sinusoidal (sine) wave.

There is usually a circuit in the microwave which monitors the AC line for timing purposes, and a square wave may not be interpreted correctly.

I would consult the manual or contact the manufacturer or installer.
