This happened to mine after a power out. The red LED on the power button would glow, but it wouldn't turn on. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in repeatedly and it will eventually turn on.

I have been told that the heavy transformer is burnt out but there are no replacement parts for it is that correct

That would be the main power supply transformer. Your informant probably means no exact brand name match is available from the maker. It should however be possible to use a generic transformer of the right specification eg

It becomes a bit more difficult if the transformer is soldered in to be part of a pwer supply circuit card, in which case your informant may mean that the matching circuit card is unavailable.

I would try 2 or 3 repairers to see if you can find one who is a bit more resourceful.

My technics SC-HD 51 does not respond to power on when the power button is pressed ,what fault can that be?

Take your pick, the power switch itself, Mains transformer, blown fuse, anything in the power supply that's fried or has died.

Getting "no response" on music center after power outage. After disconnecting transformer for several hours and reconnecting it usually works until now.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. After a power outage, I have to unplug it, otherwise it stays on and keeps recycling. Reset?

The power outage, can be caused by an over voltage, or after the power came back there could have been a spike.
It must have damaged something in the logic or in the power supply. Ask a repair store to fix it.

Sony ht-ct150 will not power on after power outage

It sounds like you might have experienced a power surge from the wall socket that fried some part of your speakers. You will likely have to have the speakers repaired. Consider investing in a surge protector in the future, and check the user manual for the speakers:

We connected the system and turned on the power. There is no response from the system. Please help

Hi I have the same problem... I confirmed that the fuse is ok and the transformer. Nothing looks fried or loose. Sure would love some suggestions other than the obvious in not purchasing BOSE again

DVD player won't turn on after power outage

Hiya, sorry to say that the power supply is probably damaged, sometimes happens with power outs. Unless it is expensive model, they are sometimes not worth fixing (although the fault could be very simple like a single diode etc. Maybe send it in and ask for a quote, then decide if it is worth it.

Best of luck

No Display

Could be an easy fix. Try shorting across this fuse protector IP1280 (looks like a resistor) on the power board. See more detailed solution I posted in this forum for a similar question.4a63623.jpg
