You have a power supply going out in the monitor. You can check out some pictures on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm If you can solder then you should be able to repair your monitor. Open the back of your monitor and look for the bad capacitors( the little aluminum parts with the tops popped open as seen in the pictures). Unsolder all the ones with the bulging tops and replace them with new caps. If you have questions just email me. If you don't want to do the repair yourself then we orrer a repair service, contact me for more info.

When I turn on my computer my Scepter 24"LCD monitor will immediately turn to sleep mode. The little blue light is still on this is how I know it is just not dead. Every now and then I am able to turn off the monitor and then turn it back on and there wont be a problem for a few hours then it starts again. I have had some luck pressing the sleep mode button on the monitor a few times also but I am stumped and need some help. Thank you.

At first the "brick" light would flash on and off. Sometimes more of a fading type of on/off. The on/off switch on the monitor just blinks. Bottom line is the monitor will not come on...Is this a power supply cord issue, or something wrong with the monitor? I don't want to buy a new cord if that is not the problem....And of course, hate to buy a whole new monitor....Is there anyway of knowing what the problem is before I start spending money?
