Question about Motorola Mobility SLVR L7 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

No sounds, just keypresses

MP3s, ringtones and the java games won't play any sounds.  There are sounds from keypresses (like pressing 1,2,3,etc...), but that's all.  When I try to play an MP3, the player shows it as playing, but no sound is heard.  Starting up and shutting down the phone no longer has that moto startup/shutdown sound either.

The phone is not on silent, and doing a master reset has not worked, nor has updating the software from the motorola website.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: No sounds, just keypresses

You need to have the speaker and not the ear pic fix.

I can't play the games that i download..

To play games on your mobile the mobile must meet the game requirements such as support
2.flash support
3.required resolution
4.sufficient RAM etc.
Make sure you download the .jar or .jad files for java games.
Also before downloading check the resolution requirements and whether the game is supported by your mobile(if available on site).

How do i set ringtone i downloaded from real player?

Your ringtones will be in Filemanager/sounds.Please check whether you can access the ringtone there and you can play it. This is because you cannot play all the file formats in your phone. If it is possible, then just press right soft key and you can see the options for setting it as ringtone.PLease ask if you need any further info.Njoy

ok first question. MENU PAGE 2>PROFILES>GENERAL>CUSTOMIZE>TONE SETUP>SIM 1 or 2 INCOMING CALL> you have 25 options to choose from, all ****. 26-30 is where you can add 5 additional mp3s as ringtones.
2nd question 2nd page menu>PROFILES>MEETING>ACTIVATE.
3rd question you must save the number as it shows up ussually with the 1 and area code. it is best to save it in the phone and not on the sd card cuz the phone gives you more options. when you get a call go to CALLS>either received or missed>CLICK ON THE NUMBER YOU WANT TO SAVE>OPTIONS>SAVE TO PHONEBOOK>TO PHONE>then you can enter the name. scroll down under the fax number then the birthday cake it will have a music icon. this is where you can put certain ringtones to certain people. it is best that you add you 5 allowed mp3s before you do this if you mp3 ringtones per person.

I have a TMObile I9 and I want to use MP3 as a ringtone.

the phone allows you to add 5 mp3s as ringtones. unfortunatley you can not delet any of the other horrible sounds that are on there.go to SETTINGS>USER PROFILES> GENERAL> CUSTOMIZE> TONE SETUP> SIM 1 INCOMING CALL or 2 depending what slot your card is in>Scroll all the way to the bottom 26- 30 are empty slots, click on a empty slot> Replace>OK then find where your mp3 is located.

After you have loaded your 5 ring tones you can assign a specific rintone to contacts. I save my contacts to my phone since it gives you alot more options.go to PHONE>ADD NEW CONTACT>TO PHONE> ENTER NAME> ENTER NUMBER usually you need to put the 1 and are code also for the phone to reconise it> scroll down to bottom to the music not under the birthday cake. this is where you can choose your mp3.

Bluetoothing ringtones

The V3 is deceiving because it has many different software versions. If you power the phone off, and then press and hold the * and # keys while pressing the power button, it should come up with a black screen with white letters telling you the bootloader version. I bet if you compare the two, the bootloader will be different.

There is the V3i, V3a, V3m, V3r, V3re, V3c etc.

I've heard of many of the new razors not being able to use MP3's as ring tones.

please rate as at least helpful as there is no FixYa solution for your problem.

Sorry for the bad news.
