EpiValley CDMA USB Modem(SXC 1280)

usually if you call up the properties page for your modem from the hardware manager these is a diagnostics option. this will allow you to check that WINDOWS can operate it

A problem here indicates a possible driver or hardware connection error

If there is more than one modem listed (as would be the case with blue-tooth or a cell phone) then make sure you select the correct one and then select properties.

My computer shows a total of 6 modems due to the complexity of mobile communication devices etc

A new box will open that has a few tabs and the one you are interested in is "diagnostic" click that then "query modem"

If all is good you should see some information about your modem and its capability come up.

If not you need to double check you drivers and mae sure the modem is plugged into the same port that you first installed it on as some usb devices don't like being switched about.


Also make sure that it is plugged directly into the computer as sometimes these types of device don't like hubs. if it will work with a hub then ensure the hub has ITS OWN POWER SUPPLY !
