Sony KV32s45 sudden failure

On power up, no picture, no sound

No sound, no picture, no power....nothing!
Im a student and cant afford a new TV, (or anything else for that matter), so finding an affordable way to repair this TV would be a great bonus!

I really have to say there is no miracle cure for TV's I have 20years of experience in fixing TV's I don't suggest for you to try to fix this as TV's run on high voltage and you could kill yourself.

If you really cannot find a tech to check it for you the only thing you can try is to check for a broken fuse.

You Must Take Great Caution.

If you are a person that like to take things apart you may try to take the back off .
Start by disconnect the power cable and follow the main power cable inside , normally it goes where the main switch is located and there you should find a Time Fuse normally the value is around 2.5 amps T for time it should say on circuit board & on fuse.Check for a faulty fuse.If faulty replace with the same type fuse and before you plug it in put back all covers than you may try to put on TV.

If fuse is good than fit back cover and take to a professional.

Have an older model philips(1995)rear projection.the power light comes on green,i hear sound from the speakers,but the screen does absolutely nothing.i took the cover off and can see the lamps...

Ur tv projection lamp,when was the last time you replaced the projection lamp?Tv projection lamp was replaced last 1 1/2 or 2 years ago.The tv been on and used 4 or 5 hours a day.The tv projection lamp life it over.Require a new projection lamp.

your tv has a flyback problem it is a old model..my advice instead of investing to repair it buy a new tv.

Tv has power no picture or sound

this is a proper electronic part failure this will require to be fixed by a proper tv technician as no body can guess ..call a qualified professional and get it repaired .ram mistry EMAIL [email protected]

PICTURE CUTS IN AND OUT

Ur video board CRT socket pins resoldiers that.
Ur hight voltage transformer,FBT(the big block of plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to ur
CRT.Bottom of that plastic block of that there pins resoldiers that too.U should solve the prob.if not, the FBT must be replace it dead.

My Sony TV KV32s45 32" Shows no picture but has sound. After a few houres of unpuging the TV the screen is good but then the picture gose up and all i see i a black screen but the sound is good. THE stanby...

Picture int disappears leaving snow on screen
Resolder the Xtal in the tuner
No picture - screen is empty. Sound is ok
Check IC101 (BA7630F), if video signal comes to input (pin 1) but not present at output (pin 14) then replace this IC
Intermittent video or snow
Resolder points A, B, C, D in tuner PCB, check cold solder on tuner shield 2-106-349-21

heard a pop sound -- then the set went dead -- no lights, no nothing, and then there was a slight electrical burn smell coming from the back of the set :(

Picture went off still had sound then i turned off at panel now only red timer/standy stays lit sony 61" projection

First plug in again and look at led light, the amount it blinks tells what is wrong. Then if it stays lite it tells something also. You can try Display-channel 5-volume +- Power(service mode). Then Channel 8-enter(test reset). If this doesn't work then you will have to replace somethings like F601, R607, Q601, IC601, R612, VDR601.

NO PICTURE

do you see anything on screen.no picture doesnt mean no raster ,raster mean anything that comes out in display.no raster with sound only mean failure in either,connection in heater which means, loose connection or some new sets declare failure in vertical circuit.so be more specific ok?
