Samsung LED Tv is cheaper and is more vibrant forget the LCD models they run hot anyway. the link below are the top selling models here in Australia LED TV is either 40' inch or 48'' why?....as most newer models now has the correct 16:9 1920x2160p screen ratio as compared to the previous 1360x768 old (35mm Cinema screen aspect widescreen size) ie: no more black cropped DVD movies watching on a widescreen Tv check the link and compare the prices and model number of the best of the best on LED TV's here >> http://loadedtrolley.com.au/costco-australia-price-lists/costco-australia-television-price-list/ but, i would take yourself down to a store as only you can judge for yourself in what your eyes tell you....;but i repeat....LED TV is the way to go Not LCD !!!

The most likely problem is one or more bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. These are often easy to identify; the top of the capacitor is domed out instead of flat, and there may be black or brown material leaking out of the vent scoring on the top of the capacitor.

If you see this, get capacitors of the same or higher voltage rating, same or higher temperature rating, high ripple current (compare different brands and models) and long endurance rating. Usually the Panasonic FR series provides the best combination of specs. Be sure to check whether the capacitor length and diameter will fit. It would be embarrassing to get it all soldered in, then discover the back won't go on without crunching your new parts!

I can tell you that I'm using LG scarlet lcdTV(32 inches) and I'm very pleased, although it's not the best TV you can get. I suggest you to go with the Sony Bravia ledseries, I've read lots of review on this TV and I've watched a movie at myfriends' house and it's the real deal, it might cost a couple more hundreds butit worth it.

From working on INSIGNIA TV's, you will never know who is the actual manufacturer of the TV since INSIGNIA does not actually make the TV themself but contract out to the OEM with the best price to get maximum profit.
All TV these days are made to fail within a couple years, some companies go out off business after making alot of money off the buyer, so buyer get stuck with TV with no support.

So the bottom line is to get the one with the best pictures and hope they will still be around a couple years from now.

Yeah dont buy LCD over hyped ****!! I buy only plasma's better blacks & better picture! Try the Panasonic THX plasma & read the reviews on it! I own 2 plasma one new & one 5 yrs old! Also own one Sony LCD...LOL..it's in the kids room! Even Sony's best XBR $5000 plus 50" tv does not compare to a Panny THX!
