Dirty water won't drain in my washing mac...
My washing machine is washing with no problem, but when it comes time to drain the dirty water and fill again with clean water it won't drain. Any ideas on an easy fix? I thought the drain tube was blocked, but when I blew into it it caused bubbles in the dirty water still in the washer. I figured it isn't clogged. I'm wondering if it has to do with the dial itself. I did try it on different cycles types and it was still a no go. Can anyone help? Thanks!

You checked the hose for clogs, but did you check the pump? Take a flashlight and look into the suction port on the pump. Look for any obstructions (like the occasional stray sock, etc.) Also check the pump impeller for broken or missing blades and make sure the impeller spins freely. If there are problems with the blades or the impeller won't spin freely, then the pump is defective. Hopefully, it is just a clogged pump. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Thanks so much for your help. I have learned a lot about washers with your response and the internet. The problem ended up being a bad lid switch.

It sounds to me like the pump stoped working. It may just be a bad or broken belt. Not knowing the brand or type of washer, it is hard to speculate. If its a top loader and If you can somehow look under the washer, tip it back 6-8 inches you may be able to see where the belt is or should be. But have someone else tip it back and hold it and do not reach underneath it.

Thank you for your response. It ended up being a bad lid switch. It's working like a charm now. My husband was impressed that I fixed it myself. :)

Hello I have a Top Load washer model # sm 8525492, Before I got there My wife tried washing some clothes and got the Tub to fill with Water, from that point we have nothing, TUB IS CURRENTLY FULL OF WATER BUT DEAD HORSE FROM HERE. Almost like a blown Fuse, I checked the outlet and the Outlet is fine, I plugged in a microwave in the same outlet and it works fine, The washer at this point is Totallly Dead, I tried all different cycles moving the settings manually - I get nothing- No spin, no Agitating, No motor Noise, no Pump coming on if I advance it to the rinse cycle, I am at a loss here, Do I have a Bad Timer? or is the Motor Shot? It did work fine the day Before. Any Suggestions, Please help, Thank You and Merry Christmas.

My Kenmore HE4T washer is leaking from the bottom, towards the front. This happens during the rinse cycle (both the start and end of it) at the end of the tub filling, right before the pump comes on to drain the water. It doesn't seem to happen during the wash cycle. Any ideas?
