Sound problem!!!! Hi, I've bought a LG 42LC2D 42 in. HDTV LCD a week ago, for the first two days it works perfectly, but after that when I change the channel there's no sound, I have to change a few times then the sound would come back. Please let me know if you had any experience like this with the TV? Or this is just a Comcast (HD) cable box problem? Thanks. Having the same problem with a small difference. My problem is I can be watching a program and it breaks for a local commercial and the sound will go away. However, when the program starts back up or a National commercial comes on the sounds comes back on. Called the cable company and they of course have never heard of the problem. I have tried to find something in the setup of both the TV and the cable company's setup box with no luck. It also seems to happen only when I am recording two programs on my DVR at the same time. However, the past 1½ days, the problem has not appeared. I made some changes but I don't know if anything is what corrected the problem.

we bought an LG 42in 1080i HDTV 6 weeks ago and the sound has been going out. when it happens it's across all channels - hi-def (700s) or regular comcast cable channels. We have to shut the TV off entirely and wait for a minute and then it comes back on. This happens mid-program - not just when a commercial comes on, etc. Any thoughts?

I have had the same problem for the past couple of days. During local commercials I have not sound but a picture. However, when the show comes back on I have sound again. As well, sometimes I have sound that doesn't fit with the television show that I'm watching. I can't figure out what's wrong.

Make sure u dont have the SAP option on, because it will not have audio on channels that dont support SAP programs...(SAP is the option that translates English programs to Spanish)

Hi, new one on me but heres one thing you should do with that comcast box, un-plug the AC cord on the comcast box for about 1 minute, plug it back in and be patient while it re-boots, can take as long as 4-5 minutes, this re-sets all the logic states in the box, hope this helps.

I just posted saying that I had the same problem. I found the manual for my particular television online. It said to press the [MTS] button on the remote control and switch between SAP, Stereo, and Mono sound selections. It worked. My television was on SAP for some reason causing sound not to come through on all the channels. Hope this helps!

42'' LG Plasma bought in Australia doesn't work in UK?

Find out if Australia uses a different standard of HD programming than Guernsey or not since it's not picking up any channels at all with an attenna. Does the skybox use only scart connections and that's how your small lcd is connected to it?

LG 22" Flat Screen HDTV

the Svideo, not Saudio, will have to be selected in the tv's input menu, but Svideo won't give audio, you will have to connect audio leads to the TV and to the sat box or whatever you are using for your programmes
