My lg kp215a fell from the table and the screen went white- Please help!!!!!!

Things You'll Need
  • Small Phillips screwdriver
  • Pry stick
  • Replacement flex cable
  • Turn the lg kp215a over, and push up on the battery latch to remove the battery. Pull out the SD card cover on the side of the phone, and push in on the SD card to remove it.
  • 2 Remove the four screws the were covered by the battery and the two screws at the top two corners of the phone. The top two screws may be covered with rubber stoppers that you can pull out.
  • 3 Place your pry stick underneath the back housing, and twist the stick to pop it up. Remove the back housing from the device.
  • 4 Remove two screws that are holding the control board in place. The first is located near the camera button on the side of the phone, the other is located just below the speaker.
  • 5 Place your pry stick under the control board, and pull it up to free the board. As you pull the board up, find the connector underneath the board, and use your pry stick to pop it loose, then remove the control board from the housing.
  • 6 Pull the soft plastic keyboard away from the housing.
  • 7 Remove the three small screws that hold the housing to the hinge mechanism. There are four screw holes and only three screws, since one of the holes is used for a screw on the control board, so make a note of which holes the three small screws come from. Pull the hinge housing away from the LCD housing once you remove the screws.
  • 8 Remove the six screws from around the outside of the LCD housing. You will have to slide the hinge mechanism down to access the sixth screw. Just remember to slide it back up once you are done. Place your pry stick between the two halves of the LCD, and pop the back piece off.
  • 9 Remove the defective flex cable, and replace it with your new cable.
  • 10 Reverse the disassembly instructions to get the phone back together again. Ensure that the cable is threaded through the slots in the LCD housing and the hinge housing. When you put the control board back into the rear housing, hold it at an angle first so that you can connect the cable to the control board.

    Motorla razr v3xx

well pop the back off ,remove the battery.then there are 2 screws that hold the modem in place.remove them and very carefully pry the modem off.there are 2 plastic tabs near the bottom of the phone 1 on each side.careful or they will break.`then there are 4 screws on each side of the screen, when opened..they are under little rubber pucks.remove them and separate the 2 half's..Unplug the flex cable from the screen and carefully remove the screen and camera carefully not to tear off the flex cables that hold the 3 buttons on the screen in..then if you'll turn the phone back over.where the battery goes in on the hinge .you'll see another screw.remove that and flip the phone over again.carefully pop the chrome hinge pin out.then you'll be able to separate the 2 half's.then there are 6 little metal tabs that hold the keyboard in place.pry them up and carefully remove the keyboard and flex cable.careful around the hinge, where the flex cable runs threw.
now moving on to the modem, on the bottom you'll see 2 little plastic tabs carefully open them and remove the brass retaining wire and the modem will then come out..get your new covers and reverse this process and you'll be good to go.

How to replace ribbon on nokia 6085 my phone works but screen is blank!

Well, you need to remove the hinges that are in the middle where you flip the phone. The correct method would be: 1. Open the top panel (One covering the small blue LCD) 2. Remove the screws connecting the chip. 3. Remove the chip by removing the connector. 4. Open the battery cover. 5. Remove the plastic guard that's above the battery cover - you can do this by hand. 6. Remove the 4 screws here. 7. Remove the back cover and the chip. 8. Remove the connector connecting the chip. 9. Carefully press the hinge on the left side through a small hole in the side with a thin strong device. Now you should see a pin slide out towards the middle of the phone. Hold this pin in place with a screwdriver - if you don't, it'll slide back into place. 10. Pull out the top panel now. 11. You should easily be able to remove the ribbon connector. Work backwards to fix it all back :) Hope you fix it :)

How do i install the keypad with flex cable throught the hinge on a v3?

There are small screws on the silver end pieces that hold the 2 pieces together. You have to completely take the phone apart top and bottom take the end piece out of the hinge and very carefully slide the flex cable through. Go to HowardForums and look for a tutorial there.

    Retrieving data, broken screen

The Phone needs a new Keypad flex and most likely a left hinge pin. When the phone is open, the cable runs through the left side of the hinge. It is very common for the hinge pin to become chipped and put a small cut in the Flex Cable.
You can get the parts on ebay. search for motorola v3 keypad flex, and motorola v3 hinge, or knuckle.

    "Bolt" replacement on Razor Phone

Be very carefull with the phone. The main cable runs through that left side.

Look on Ebay for a Left hinge pin for the V3. Also knows as the left knuckle.

Make sure you look for the V3. Not Razr.

If your speaker goes out, or you lose display before you get the Knuckle, you need to get a keypad flex also.

If not, get the Knuckle, and it just slides in. MAKE SURE before you pop it in that there are no pieces of the old one in there and that you don't pinch that cable.

I can fix it for you if you send it to our business, but if you're careful, you shouldn't have a problem.

Motorola razr v3: hinge on left side fell out

I know what you r talking about because the hinge on my phone is loos, it didn't fall off yet. I have the blue razr but it's with t-mobile and it's unlocked so they wont fix it. T-Mobile is very helpful but u should call moterola and they will fix it 4 u. And if they give u a hard time talk to the manager.
