Clean the rollers on the paper path. If it is difficult to reach them try spraying water drops onto some stiff card and feeding it through so it picks up the excess toner on the rollers Just dont make it too wet

I have the Brother MFC 8860DN. When printing it is missing out a large margin on the right hand side of each sheet and cutting off the text that would normally be in that section

Hi

Are printing with a MS excel file? If yes, go to page set up and click FIT instead of 100% size. To fit is in 1 page only.

Please ask me if did not help you

Brother mfc-8480dn no paper error I have a new brother laser printer and it is telling me there is "No Paper" but the paper tray has paper. I have tried removing the paper and reloading the tray...

Open the file you are trying to print, go to "file", "page setup", "Paper" and choose "Default tray" under paper source. It may give you an error message that the margins are outside of the paper. Click on "Fix this", then you can print. I had the same problem.

3 dots along the left margin of paper, after replacing the drum

Open the MP tray and place a new sheet of A4 paper on it.

Press and Hold the Clear/Back button and also press and hold the Left Arrow. The display should change to 'Drum Cleaning'

Press the OK button and it should clean the drum and print a sheet with smudges where your dots used to be.

You may need to repeat the procedure a few times.

I had a similar problem but it was only one dark line on the right side of each page. I just changed the drum while keeping the same toner and the problem is gone.

Brother printer mfc-8860dn

This usually means that it isn't picking up paper at all. Draw and x on the top paper and see if it takes it. You may need a new feed tire or different paper.

MFC-8860DN

This is a common issue.
Here is the solution:
Pull out the paper tray
On the left of the feed roller there is a black piece of plastic that is a sensor. It is jammed forward. Gently bend it out to the left and push it back until it snaps back into place.

Be careful not to break it.

Fuser replacement on Brother MFC 8860DN

Yes I did it myself, however I am savvy with most hardware, I wouldnt suggest it for the novice. It cost around $NZ245 for the fusing unit, which from doing a quick search online is about the same in most countries.
