Check and clean if necessary your vent hose.
If you vent hose "seems" to be clean then, try running the dryer with the vent hose off and see if the dryer is not running hot anymore. Make sure your lint screen is in place and has no tears or holes in it and is still firmly attached to the frame. If you are running too hot you are not moving enough air thru the system. It could be that the fan blade is plugged up. The problem could be a large lint ball build up in the center of the fan or a sock, thin pants,a pen, etc. that has gotten into the fan by falling down the hole where the lint screen is normally inserted. You have to find the air restriction to solve the problem. It also can be a loose or worn out blower wheel/fan. Please take time to rate me.
try this, wearing rubber gloves(cos its hot)undo the topmost hot hose clip and expell any air trapped.also use a hotwire to check
electric fan(s) if fitted.if they run it aint them.do they operate when idling and hot,if not then its the sensor.or if you have a viscous fan is that working.....when hot you will feel a resistance to turning by hand when the engine is stopped..another telltail that the thermostat is gone is,does the guage go down when you turn the fan on full heat for the interior??...cant think of anything else.....
I assume you mean the clothes are not drying as well or as quickly as they use to.? If so I would start with the Vent system ,85% of extended dry times are vent issues. Start by running the unit and going outside to the dryer vent and check for a good flow of warm air,if very little air is coming out of the vent you need to clean or have the entire exhaust system cleaned out.. With out good airflow you will just end up with warm moist clothing the airflow helps remove the moisture.. If not a airflow problem it may have a thermostat issue not letting it get hot enough or not staying hot long enough,,Hope this helps GOOD LUCK
check your breaker first.A dryer will run on 110 but wont heat.if not breaker it could be your thermal fuse or element.the thermal fuse is located on element cage, unplug machine and test for continuity to your thermal cut off fuse which will be the top one on cage and check continuity to element.
your ignitor could be going out. the ignitor has to get hot enough in order for the gas to turn on and heat your oven. if your ignitor is going out, sometimes it doesn't glow hot enough for the gas to turn on, or it could be that is takes longer than normal to get hot enough to turn the gas on. I would replace the ignitor and that should solve the problem. Joe
Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it
Sounds like to me, that you need to check the vent going outside from the dryer. I had the same problem, and found a birds nest in the dryer vent on the outside of my house restricing air flow. If that doesn't fix the problem, look into a new heating element and or thermostats for the dryers. The old ones could just not be getting hot enough anymore. Good luck.
