Hi -I had the same problem with my tatung LDC tv. PIECE OF !@$#$#@#!!. Not knowing a whole lot about electronics, I decided well, I couldn't break it anymore, and I thought it was probably the power supply as the tv did NOTHING!!! it wouldn't light up make noise or anything. it was totally dead. I called around MANY, MANY local tv repair shops and NO ONE would work on this as they didn't have the repair parts for it. Thats what I get for going cheap. Anyway, well, I popped the back off, carefully making sure I knew where each screw went if I ever had to put it back together. Well, I located the power supply - it's pretty obvious, I removed it with a few screws and then found a company in california that repaired power supply's - I sent it off not knowing if it would solve the problem, but they quoted me $75 dollars and I figured if it didn't work $75 wasn't too much of a loss - and they said I could return it and get some of my $75 bucks back. So, I shipped it off to them. A couple weeks later, I got it back and installed it and to my amazement it worked!!! It has been working GREAT ever since.
