I have a Kodak ES Z700. The screen is almost completely dark...If I look at a light through it I can barely see the light...almost looks like a negative...and using the flash does nothing, pictures come out the same way..completely dark or very little light exposure. What can I do to fix this problem?

It is probably set to manual exposure.
