Manufacturers like saving money. They could supply the CD/DVD recoverybut that would cost them almost $1.00. They do however put a recovery partition on the hard drive and include instructions on how to make CDs/DVDs for yourself. Most don't however and the manufacturers have a backup system. If you call them, they will send you the recovery pack you need for about $25.
