Dvd/cd burner i need the driver

shouldn't need a driver for this unit if your computer isn't too old and you're using win xp or 2000. Install and check bios and it should recognize it. Usually to use these devices to burn you need something like nero or other disk burning utility that's bundled with the unit or can be purchased for around $30 or so. If it doesn't work and bios doesn't recognize it check the jumper on the rear and its position on the ribbon cable. Usually if it's set to cable select it should work but if bios doesn't recognize it on any setting it may be bad. Try it on somebody else's computer that has xp and burning software if possible
