I decided to reset my iphone. It gave me that it might take up to 2 hours and it did. When it finshed resetting the phone wouldn't turn on. it just shows the screen with the apple logo then shuts off. a minute or less later it does the same thing, the logo appears and it does it again.

IF it's a Iphone go to settings look under General scroll all the way down and you will see Reset it will ask you these types of questions.
1.reset all settings
2.Erase all content and settings
3.reset network
4.reset keybored dictionary
5. reset home screen layout

Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000


Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.

Charge your iPhone overnight. If that does not work, try the following resets:

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

1. Press and hold the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the application you were using quits.
2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
4. More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.


Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Reset the phone by pressing the power and home key at the same time and holding them until it turns off, then restart. If that don't work you will need to restore the phone in itunes

Put it into Restore Mode by turning it off by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake Buttons at the same time until the screen goes black and then WHILE holding the Home button, insert the wire and do not let go of the Home button until iTunes finds it. Then Restore it from iTunes.
