i have a bad smell in the water in kitchen ive tried eveything i can think of to do and no change

Is your supply line plastic or copper? If its plastic then that can absorb a smell. There is nothing in the icemaker that would make it smell. You may need to replace the supply line and the inlet line that feeds the icemaker. Is there a smell in the kitchen faucett?
