Our t.v.'s color is off. There is no blue or yellows showing. I have tried to adjust the set according to the book. In the top left hand corner of set where it shows a blimp of red, green and blue, the red and green flash but the blue does not. (this is when I put the "menu" on) What can be done.
We bought the set on 2/08/05 and replaced lamp on 9/09/06
You both will need to have a service center come out to try to reset the TV using the reset jig. A JVC authorized service center will be the only ones that will have access to and training to use this jig. It is a good chance reseting it fix the color problem but it could also be something more serious.

Open Firefox, Click on Open Menu Option in the right hand top corner of the screen, then click on Add-ons in the search box type Video DownloadHelper and click on Install. Once done, you will see and icon in the right hand top corner which is red/yellow/blue color
It is not the smartboard, lamp or the computer as well know, it's the projector itself. This may not work but you at least need to try press the auto adjust button on the projector and then adjust the clock/phase in the menu. If not you will need to send in to NEC it could by the color wheel. Usually they have a warranty for a couple of years.

ok, need a bit more info but when you select to print document, in the print options screen that comes up make sure your printer is selected in the top left hand corner, select preferences, then select color, click on advanced color settings and make sure all the colors are set to zero on the left hand side, to adjust the figures to zero use the sliders in the center, then select ok, tick the box besides print in greyscale and select ok, this should print your document in black ok, hope this helps, get back to me if still having trouble, cheers, Brett.
The calibration sheet is comprised of many different colors - cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Just because you are missing black ink doesn't mean that you can't do the calibration. As long as there is a blue arrow in the top left hand corner, you can match that up with the yellow arrow on your scanner, press the start button, and the printer will calibrate.

High Voltage Capacitor? Leave the set unplugged for 1/2 hour most components will selfdischarge, as for your problem, being a Magnavox, you have one of two problems, the convergence I suspect is what is blown out, this unit probably uses STK392-110 Ic's, I would suggest replacing with STK394-160e chips as they are probably shorted, some of the big resistors (1 or 2) may be opened up also, usually they change color. The only other thing that would cause usually a yellow color in the corners is the CRT Fluid, it changes from clear to Orange in color and clamps off the blue color from the fringes, I suspect the chips need replacement, dont forget to put some heatsink dope behind them, they are usually on the left in the front of the set (from the back) Big long heatsink that is fairly tall (probably the biggest heatsink in the set.) Good luck, and the repair usually runs around $350.
I have the same problem and now there is convergence problem with the entire screen, double images and ghosting ...i was told that some IC's are burned our ...etc..i'm waiting to see if they sell the entire board since the TV's are 10 years old... will let U know what i get as a response.
