- I understand and thank you, but the fridge is 1 yr old and I am wondering if we are talking about the same model of Samsung if you say the part is discontinued
RF267ABRS
is this correct?
Thanks!

- Hey thats great!
Do you continue to "support" if I order the part and install it, or am i on my own?? :-)
thanks
daveAug 14, 2009

what would be the next step?Aug 21, 2009
- rf 267 series by samsung french door power went out during a storm now the display reads: 88 on the left and flashing 88/86 on the right temp remains constant, but not able to work display panel. i replaced the PBA board as instructed, but i still see the same display on the front panel. is there a reset period i need to wait for or was the diagnosis incorrect?Aug 24, 2009
- hi and thank you for the suggestion, but samsung has no solution other than a service call. was the pba board not the solution?
Aug 24, 2009
- samsung is unable to help aside from advising me to set up service call
is there another step to reset the refrigerator display or was the part (PBA Board) misdiagnosed????
Aug 24, 2009
- I have done the following and still need assistance because the display still will not function correctly.
PBA Board replaced: now what can I do ???
previous assistance quote
"PBA-Main), has received most of the surge, via power outage. The board has several logic sectors that have chips attached. these control sectors are damaged at this time. In order to restore this unit to normal adjustable operational value, you must replace this damaged PBA"Aug 26, 2009
- your solution must be to someone else s problem. I need PBA board assistance, not water filter.
Aug 28, 2009
- I need help resetting the display on my samsung rf 267 fridge after a power surge damaged the PBA board, from what im told. I reinstalled a new one and the panel still does not operate correctly. I dont know if there is something else i need to do, or if the problem was misdiagnosed.Aug 28, 2009
- Thank you
i did replace the main board, if that is the same as the PBA board. if i dont need the new one, i would like to return it.....i will try diconnecting the perimeter connections for now, but i have doubts ...
whats next??????
Aug 29, 2009
- the fridge is samsung french door RF267ABRS
The image you had gets blurry when I try to enlarge it. There is a diagram on the back, but I just don't understand it. I pulled all the wires off the new PBAboardand let the unit sit without power for 15 minutes and the display is still the same.... should i return the board???
Sep 01, 2009
- i sent you some pics of the diagram on the back
Sep 02, 2009
- i will try to get some better pics
that fridge is really hard to move back and forth!! :-)
ps i really dont know much about the "power at the CCU at the terminals 1F2.1 then it's the filter" that may be hard for me to diagnose :-(, but would appreciate any help....do i need to return the pba board i got???
Sep 04, 2009
- wow thanks!
i am eager to get this fixed
its frustrating spending that much and having a surge damage it 1 year later and have no display panel.
i will keep you posted

- oops
that is not my fridge
can you locate the RF267 manual?
its close, but i cant get the self diagnostics to work
my fridge is showing the opposite number in the display as this manual, meaning that if there is an "88" for the freezer and an "88" for the fridge, this manual is using the right "8" in "88", while mine is displaying the left "8".
that means the digital 88 would appear as a flashing "68" on the fridge temp in my situation. And just to put this out there, once I remove the back panel, I do not know what I am doing....aside from spending $80 on a new board that did not solve the problem which is what "localwonder" on aug 12th told me to do :-(
thank you
