ok this is simple. first im going to assume that this is a home router. most hoem routers use a class a adressing somethign like 192.168.1.1 if you are using windows xp goto START, Controll pannel, network connections, ( if you donot see this icon look around in the contrllpannes for a linkthat says "switch to classic view"), if you are using wire less click on the wire less connection, if you are using a cable to connect your computyer to yoru router click local area network connection. one you have clicked one of those then you nee to click the support tab on the pop up that came from clicking on your connection. nwo you need to click details. under property look for "default gateway" once you find that look to the right across from it. the number shoudl b elike 192.168.1.1 this is your routers adress. wright it down, once you have done chtat you can close out of controll pannel and the dialoge box. now lets go to your browser in the adress bar type "http://(adresshere no spaces)" ie "http://192.168.1.1" this hsoul dbring you to your router. but it will ask you for a passwword. typically th euser name and password is "admin" if that doesnt work try admin in the password box only no user name. once in ther you are able o set you passwords wifi keys and block people. i can guide you through this but i need more info on your router. please email me at rdrteck@gmail.com with your router model number and manafacture name and i can guide through any thing you need

I started receiving the "Hardware ID missing" post when I try to open the Wireless G linksys application. I cannot access the internet via the card. While trying to uninstall and then install the software, I get the "system file not found". Anyone?
