Can't open the DVD door. Wen I turn on the DVD Player, it starts reading a DVD that's stuck inside, and after a while e turns off alone. The door doesn't open and it seems to have some process runing that wont allow theDVD Player to iniciate. I've tried everytinhg possible, turning off the cable power to reset the Player but the problem remains.

Reading the manual I found the solution. I just had to make a restart (pressing power on while connecting the cable). The problem is solved.

    Thanks any way!

    Best regards!

You'll have to remove the top and remove the disk that way. there's a top bracket on the dvd drive to remove before you can get to the disk. and unplug the unit first!!

This may sound obvious but, try pressing the open button when the unit is powered off.
The tray should open as it powers on not giving it a chance to turn the disc and start reading.
I have the same problem with certain discs, normally what I have burnt myself.
Post back if no good.

When I turn on my Sony DVP-SR200P DVD player and press the eject button it's turns the DVD player off.

turn on first the dvd player and wait to read a disc inside if no disc inside the tray it will say disc error. if the unit doesn't turn off, eject now the the cd tray. if get turn off, remove the cover then check for an stuck up gear or obstruction in the cd tray assembly. you can check also the power supply board which may have unusual parts like bulged or burnt component parts.

My dvd player is stuck on one dvd and wont let me eject, change disc, or even stop the current dvd. display reads "locked" whenever i press any buttons. can only turn on and off the device.

Hi, For some reason the disk will not play. You push the eject button over and over again, but the disk slot will not open. Here's one solution...
* 1 Turn off the DVD player. Wait a few minutes, turn the DVD player back on, and
then press the "eject" button. If this does not work, turn it off and unplug
the DVD player...while you keep pushing EJECT button plug the DVD and turn it on (your hand still on the eject..) is should come out..
* 2 ..if it does not eject , unplug the DVD player again, Remove the screws off DVD on the sides and take off the DVD casing.
* 3 Look for the DVD holder inside the DVD player. This device holds the DVD in
place while the DVD player reads the disk.
* 4 Push the stuck DVD disk toward the front of the DVD player until the DVD
ejects. Remember the DVD player is not on and some force ( gentle ! ) must be applied.
* 5 While it is open, plug it on and place a DVD disc just to see if mechanism works properly..
* 6 Replace the casing and the screws. Plug the player in and turn it on. Put
another DVD in to test whether the player is finally working ..
Hope this helps!..
Take care and please

The DVD door will not open when the button is pressed

Hi,

Please check the bellow instructions:-
Turn off your DVD player. Locate your DVD player's manual Eject button. It is usually a small hole located underneath the DVD drawer.
Insert a stiff wire-such as a paperclip or safety pin-into the hole. Push gently and the drawer should open partway. Gently pull the drawer the rest of the way open.
Remove the DVD and see if there is a problem with it. Most DVD player drawers get stuck when a DVD is warped or the label is starting to peel. If the DVD is warped, discard it. If the label is peeling, remove the label.
Turn your DVD player back on. If it gets stuck again on a different DVD, then the problem may be with your DVD player rather than with your DVDs.

Please get back to us if you have any further query or else accept the solution.

DVD tray will not open

When a disk is stuck inside the player , try following the procedure below:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power.
Turn on the unit and press repeatedly the eject button at the same time. If you successeed in ejecting the disk before the player starts reading TOC(disk initial track), then the disk will eject.
If that does not work, then there is an internal fault, in that case the unit must be taken apart to remove the disk.
