Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer pump hums, but won't start.

Cleaned the filter, which did have some items in it. Did a test run, and the pump hums, but will not start. Is there a cue I can look for so I know for sure that the pump motor is broke, before I buy a new one?
I know, I am in denile.

I am taking the pump apart in the morning. Yeah. I will let you know what I find. I can move the propeller, but it is tight and feels rough. Not good.

There was a rubberband stuck in around the base of the propeller. I wiggled the propeller back and forth and pulled it out piece by piece. It is working fine again.

A thin rubberband was lodged around the base of the propellar. The pump needed a good cleaning too. It is running fine again. Glad I didn' spend $80 on a new one!

What is code message F02?

Repairing the F02 error code can usually be done without ordering parts. Tools needed to repair your whirlpool Duet F02 error code are towels and a quarter inch socket.
Tip the washer back at a 45 degree angle. On the bottom panel there are three or four screws, with the screws removed the panel will slide down and off. With the lower access panel now removed you will have access to the washers drain pump clean out.
With the water already bailed from the washer you can twist the filter head counter-clockwise to remove. Twisting the filter head counter-clockwise will loosen filter so it can be pulled out.
With the filter out clean and install it back into washer.
Run a quick cycle to ensure the washer is back up and running and the F02 error has disappeared. If the error comes back, it may require you to clean the drain pump filter again.
If you require a new drain pump motor, you can purchase the part from the link below.

Duet Sport HT WFW8400TE Washer: Whirlpool Duet Sport HT front loader is stopping b...

First check your washer plug to see if the connections are tightly screwed. Next check your filter if you haven't for long.

Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel under the washer door. Your filter door will be light brown. If you find a hose there it is to drain out excess water (water that could not be drained by your pump) After you hv drained unscrew the cap and remove all the junk inside. Have a large plastic bag to catch junk and water. Refit carefully after cleaning out. If not solved, something shd be blocking your pump, check this out

I have a duet sport wfw8300 it does not finish cycle and it flashes F 21

F21 = LONG DRAIN
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valves turn off.
Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display.

If you had this washer for sometime the most likely cause is Item 4. If so remove the lower front panel place a pan under the white filter (before the pump)
remove the filter and clean and remove any foreign material and reinstall filter.

else

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump
is running.
4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.
7. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
8. Replace the pump.
