Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z55 Digital Camera
Please help! Our camera wont turn on. We have had lens error messages for a while and then it died altogether. The lens has actually remained half open and when you press the on/off button a green light flashes as if its trying to turn itself on but theres nothing else (not even any motor noises as we'd usually get) We took it to a camera repair centre today and they said it would be approx £120 to repair!!!!!
What i did for this was, remove the memory card, charge the battery fully, once fully charged, hold the on button and push very lightly down on the lens. had to do it twice to get it right for me. once it was fully in i shut it off and pulled the battery out for a few minutes.
do not push the lens in to hard, it will crack or get out of alignment.
hope this helped it fixed it for me

A lens error is something that can only be fixed my sending in to the repairs department. There is nothing that can be done at home to fix that.
