My laptop is being slow,,my friend told me to make a diskcleanup,,the biggest file that diskcleanup saw is the ''previous windows installed'' what will happen if i delete it? im using a windows vista premium,,plz help me,,tnx!
This folder is there because your system was upgraded (Possibly from Windows XP) to Vista. If you're satisfied with using Windows Vista and don't think about changing it back to what you had before, it's safe to delete these files.
Testimonial: "tnx..but i have another question,,if i delete it,,does my program or any application will not be affected? tnx again"
Your applications will not be affected, but you will lose the ability to revert back to your old Windows installation if you choose to - which is why I recommend only doing it if you're satisfied with Windows Vista, and aren't considering switching back.

You definitely should back up your files before trying to solve the issue. To defrag first check if you have enough free space and if some programs are running that are interrupting the task. Run a diskcleanup and chkdsk. The Windows defrag program will not defrag under less than 15% free space and also sometimes if other programs write to the disk while its running. So download the trial version of a reliable commercial defragger and try. (They will defrag in less than 5% free space and run in the background).
Lsass ( or lsass ) is a system file and Isass (or isass ) is a trojan. Try into safe mode [F5] (with no networking) and cleaning out hard drive (defragment, scandisk, diskcleanup) -low disk might cause this error.
its called the ring of death, its a hardware problem and the biggest fault with the xbox, happened to me twice. but no need to worry, all you have to do is ring xbox helpline and they will collect it and repair it free of charge as long as its still under the 3 year warrenty for the ring of death
in the little run box
type in MSCONFIG
then go to the startup tab
and uncheck everything on the list
dont tuch anything ealse in this utlity
another thing you can do diskcleanup then aftwards Defrag
click on the start button and then click run and type %temp% and you will get the folder and please delete all files inside that folder..
click on start->allprograms->accessories->system tools->diskcleanup
please follow the above steps it will solve your issue
Here are some things you can do that will boost your performance back to normal. First, go into Start>All programs>system tools and run Disk Cleanup. This will get rid of all of the junk like *.tmp files that has built up. Second, in the same place after you run DiskCleanup run Defrag. This will take care of all the gaps on your hard drive so data can be found more easily. Finally you need some more RAM. 1GB these days with all the intensive programs is minimal especially if you have a 250GB HDD. Means if you load that puppy up your access time will be very slow with only 1GB. All programs load into RAM when they run, so with only 1GB your system has to constantly keep going back and forth to your hard drive to get code and that makes it very slow. Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa. If you have any problems let me know.
Sounds like you have some spyware on your system.. Recomend that you download adawre (free from lavasoft), spybot (free software) and c-cleaner (also free)
Run c-cleaner first , then adaware (keep running till it is clean, sometimes it takes up to 4 times to get them all) -then run spybot, run it till it is clean (again sometimes it takes several runs to clean it all)
Then run c-cleaner again.
Try this first. If does not help, write back and we can go from there.
Hey defraging your HD will not cause you to lose any programs also you may need to do a fresh install. Also have you checked for viruses or mass sypware?
Its slow beccause it sounds like it needs cleaning out lot of things might be slowing it up like Viruses sounds like heaps in there.
