On off switch blinking wont turn on

The same problem happened to us. We have a 56' Toshiba DLP rear projection. We've had it going on5 yrs now. Whenever the picture fails to come on and the on/off blicks. But you can hear the audio, it's likely you blew your lamp. Lamp replacement for these types of units are quite easy. You'll just have to find out the size and search online to find the best price. And actually, trust me-an 8 yr old could replace the lamp-it's that easy.

This seems to be common with this unit
the fix may cost between 300 and $400 according to my conversation with Toshiba guys.

here is a trial fix that is only temporary as i believe it will hget steadily worse.

FIX: Unplug and leave for 20 mins, replug and startup as normal.
