Problem for Pioneer BDP-51FD Blu-Ray Player

I can hear everything except the voices of the actors - any ideas on issue? Pioneer 51FD hooked up to Yamaha receiver. Sound has been working fine and started fading about a week ago to the point of no voices at all... All background sound effects are perfect, just voices missing. HDMI cables and settings selected.
