Question about Nokia 446 XS Monitor
Hey there i have an old Nokia Monitor Model 446xs and i can not find a solution on reseting the password on my monitor navi controll i even tried calling nokia and they have nothing on file
The adjustments you need to make are for the screen geometry. I haven't been able to locate a manual, so I can't tell you exactly how to access them. Usually there is a menu button that brings up the adjustments, and a couple more (usually marked + and -) to go through the choices and change the settings. A fourth button enters your choice. On some monitors there may be an adjustment knob/button combination. Press the knob to enter, and turn the knob left or right to adjust and choose.
Having said all that, what you want is called the pincushion setting. When set properly the image will be square. Improper settings cause the edges to bow in or out. Depending on how many adjustments your grandkid messed up, you may have to go through some other settings as well. Most monitors have adjustments for:
- vertical and horizontal position and size
- pincushion (adjust for the straightest top and bottom edges)
- trapezoid (also called keystone) which adjusts the top and bottom widths in opposite directions (adjust for the same length)
- parallelogram which adjusts the top and bottom positions in opposite directions (adjust so the sides are straight up and down)
There may a few other choices, but the previous ones have the most effect. There may be a choice in the menu to reset everything to midrange. If so, take it and then use the adjustments to fine-tune if necessary.
