Photo's Won't Synch

I can't synch any photos. I get the message "some of your photos were not copied because they cannot be displayed on your ipod." The files are JPEG, and I have an Ipod Nano with plenty of disc space. Software (ipod and itunes) is up to date. The same photos synched to my IPOD from my old computer (Dell laptop running Windows XP), but now it won't synch to my new computer (HP laptop running Windows Vista Business). Is Vista the problem? IS there a fix?

Same problem, totally puzzled why no photos were downloaded to 80Gb Classic. They are JPG format taken on a 3.2 Mpixel Polaroid, stored on Vista PC. Apple help isn't. Trying to find out what res they were taken at and size. Will now try on XP laptop. If I find solution will post but not confident.

    same problem.

    vista/itunes/hp laptop as well.

and from research.....HP laptop seems to come up a lot with the error.

apple support was no use....'restoring' the ipod did nothing.

the images that do manage to get uploaded, are all covered in weird bands of translucent colour.

    the problem is with jpegs.

Just bought a ipod touch how do i download music from my old i pod to ipod touch

You should be able to "synch" the old ipod with iTunes on your computer and it will copy your library on to the computer. then just plug in the new ipod touch and "synch" them.

Songs I purchased from mp3panda won't synch to my ipod nano from itunes -I end up w/ little exclamation points in itunes after synching and only music from CDs will actually synch to nano. how do I get...

I never use the sync so don't understand the problem you have but I do copy the mp3panda songs I want to the nano from itunes. I highlight all the music I want and then drag it to my nano icon on itunes. I hope this works for you. Good Luck.

How do i delete pictureson my i pod? how do i down load fils?

Assuming you synch it with images on your computer in which case you would need to delete or move them out of where you synch them with.

If this is on os x then alter your album on iphoto otherwise if you click on the ipod when its in itunes you should be able to go to the images tab and select which images you want to synch with your ipod and untick the one you want or re do it.

Ipod synching

I remembered that I had to reset my ipod once before and since I had already uninstalled and reinstalled itunes I thought it must be the ipod. So, I pushed the enter and the play buttons at the same time for about 5 seconds to reset the ipod and when I connected it to itunes this time, it was working!!!

How can I use iTunes to put photos on iPod nano?

"You can easily copy images from your computer to the iPod nano using photo sync in iTunes. Please note that you cannot import photos into iPod nano directly from a digital camera or media reader. If you connect an Apple iPod Camera Connector or Belkin Media Reader for iPod w/Dock Connector to iPod nano, you'll get a message on your iPod screen that says, ""The currently attached accessory is not supported by this iPod."" If you connect a Belkin Digital Camera Link for iPod w/ Dock Connector to iPod nano, you'll see a ""Do not disconnect"" message briefly, then the main iPod menu appears. For information on other iPod accessories that don't work with iPod nano, Some accessories that work with other iPod models won't work with iPod nano. Here are some items to note and the affected accessories: Photo Import iPod nano cannot import photos from an accessory (use iTunes to copy photos to iPod nano). It will not work with third-party card readers or with the Apple Camera Connector. If you connect such a device, you'll see an error message that displays for about a minute and reads, ?The currently attached accessory is not supported by this iPod.? Voice Recorders (Microphones) Like iPod mini, iPod nano does not work with third-party voice recorders. Apple iPod Remote Because iPod nano does not have a remote port, it won't work with any accessory that requires it, such as Apple iPod Remote. Headphones Port Location The headphones port on iPod nano is located on the bottom, therefore, it won't work with any third-party accessory that requires that this port be located on the top. No Video Out iPod nano does not support video out through the dock connector or the headphone port. iPod nano is not compatible with the Apple iPod AV Cable designed for iPod with color display (and iPod photo). If you need to use any of the above devices, you'll need to use an iPod model that supports the accessory. "
