Touchscreen malfunction

The touchscreen to my daughters DS original has stopped responding. It is not a calibration issue it is a complete touch response malfunction. Is there a re-boot type facility, or is there another remedy. Please help!!!

Hello Dean, and good evening. I understand the issue you are having and I'm here to help. From the way you said it stopped responding, it sounds like it could have possible froze, or something is internally wrong with it. If it didn't freeze I would contact Nintendo about this problem, and possibly get a refund, or mail it in and receive a new one. Hope this helped! Have a great day!
