Hi, a couple of weeks ago, I dropped my camera in sand when the lens was open, I immediately got a lens error and could see the sand stuck in it. after removing visible pieces of sand it worked completely fine. now after a couple of weeks I got the lens error again and the camera will not work at all, I can not even view the pictures. Thank you, Dawn

Apparently, you missed some sand and it just took a while to work its evil way into the works of your camera.

This is simple to get looked after, not a big deal at all. If you go to: camerasandparts.com they have the exact solution for this. For $79, you get the brand new original canon lens assembly installed and that covers the whole service package for the camera and even return shipping is included too. They specialize in these Canon Powershot cameras and nothing else, they are totally amazing if you need a hand with a powershot and they know these things so well.
