Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Web Camera
I have a Windows Vista System and I just bought a LifeCam Vx-3000. When I start the system with the webcam plugged in the USB port, the webcam prompts me to set up the microphone and speaker levels. I can then use it on Yahoo Messenger.
However, when I click the webcam icon on the taskbar, the webcam gets disconnected and after that the messenger is not able to detect the webcam. The messenger detects the webcam only after restarting the computer.
Do a cam/mic test in the audio/video settings in the tools tab in yahoo. Then you need to minimise the yahoo screen and right click on the cam icon in the taskbar and check that the mic and cam are enabled and that it is set to allow other programes to take control of this device
