Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
My wife says she played ds lite earlier -- no sound problem at all. However she went back to play it five hours later and now no sound from speakers. It is giving off sound with headphones. Nothing was done to the system between plays. Volume is on. Anything else we can do without considering sending it in for repair?
This option is only suitable for out of warranty devices as opening it violates the warranty.
Open the device and look for loosen or unplugged cables in the main bottom board. Usually this dont happen though opening and closing the unit whe it was not assembled correctly may cause the wires and conductors to loosen or even worst to get cut by the moving parts. So as you say nothing else was done with the unit between plays that is the only explanation I can guess from it.
The headset plug is in the bottom main board so no cables are required to get the audio there, though as the speakers are in the top, these require some flexible cables and conductors running throught the hinges to the top part.
