Re: handle on oven door falling

Murray...after a DJ here in NY from the '60's!

First, why is the handle falling off? Is it loose or damaged? Most of these handles are only plastic with holes tapped in. If the holes are damaged and you can't fix them, you will have to replace. Most handles are through bolted in the door. You should be able to access those screws from the inside of the door. If not....

How do take a door apart: First locate any screws in the bottom of the door. Remove them. Open the door and remove screws from the sides and inside of door. Get help supporting the outside of the door and note that it will snap shut when you remove any weight from the door. Caution, most door glass is not well clipped may come loose!!!! You may want to take pictures of the inside of the door once you open it. Once the door is apart, locate any fasteners holding the handle and attempt to tighten them. If not successful, you'll need that new handle. Get an extra set of hands to help with removal and reinstallation of that door skin. You'll need 'em!

Please I like to know how can I clean the door stove from inside I mean between the class

Most oven doors come apart once you have removed the door from the oven. Look for clips, screws etc that you can undo to release the glass.. Sometimes you have to remove the front handle as well. Do it carefully and slowly. The glass can slide out when you least expect it and can smash on the floor or you can get cut. Take note of how it comes apart so you can put it back together again correctly.

I need a oven bulb lens for my Kitchenaid Superba. I think my model is 9752834A. I need two of them. The one is have has B-1 on it.

Unfortunately, 9752834A is not a model number for the KitchenAid Superba. Usually the model number will have 4-5 letters, 3 numbers, 2-3 more letters and then a final number. Look inside the oven door for a plaque with the model number. With the correct model information, you can see if the lens cover is available.

Next, Kitchenaid ovens either have a rectangular (for models that use halogen bulbs) or circular (for models that use an incandescent bulb) lens cover. I've found three lens covers for Kitchenaid products at . Check if, or look like your model. does not have the model numbers. However, Appliance Parts Pros list most of the same parts and has a model number compatibility checker, .

I hope this helps.

I have a kitchenaid electric range and the oven door handle is loose. Can I remove the door and open it and tighten the handle?

My son came and pulled the door straight out not up and we were able to take it off and take it apart and tighten the handle and clean the inner glass. It now looks and works like new.
Thank you

Inoperable KGRE801PBS00 Kitchenaid oven

1) unplug and turn your gas valve off
2) with a #2 phillips remove all the silver screw on the back of your stove (this will make is to you can remove the stainless splashguard)
3) there are several black screw holding on a removable (stainless) panel that covers the back of the stove - your culprit (thermal fuse) is under here).
4) on the back of the oven you'll see the back of a couple of fixtures (stove light, temp sensor etc). <-- do not touch these..
5) there is another attachment (attached with black #2 robertson screws).. it has two black wires plugged into it.. this is your thermal fuse - mine has a number 8300802 on it.

I had to replace this (18bucks) from my local hardware store. Unfortunately, these stupid ovens have this part recurring so buy a few.

At your own risk - when reinstalling, slip a little cardboard between the thermal fuse sensor (stainless flat side) and the stove.. you may save a few headaches..

this repair was an easy one compared to replacing the board on this stupid oven.. (i would not recommend buying one - typical north american engineering designed to keep the repair folks working)..

i guess you need to find a different way to screw the consumer eh KitchenAid? lol

have fun

Interior Range Window cracked - How to Replace

It is simple enough not to need a manual.
1- open the door, then pull outwards. The door mounts slide right out.
2- lay flat on a towel on the floor. Remove screws on the inside of the door.
3- remove each piece and layer of the door and glass panels. Set them aside in order so you know how it goes back together
4- replace broken inner glass panel
5- put each piece back together, install screws
6- slide door (mounts) back into their homes on the front of the range

It is surprisingly simple. All you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a bit of patience.

Tip: make sure to clean each glass panel while you have the door apart. Use a razor blade for those stubborn burnt on stains.

Kenmore Electric Range - Door handle

I had the same problem with my stove. I tried to replace, glue the srews and other things, but nothing really worked well. It's a shame that Kennmore has such a design flaw in their stoves, but did nothing to help their customers.

Here is the solution that worked for me:

Fix the thread with helicoils (these are inserts that create a new threat in the handle). You can find the instructions how to use the helicoils on Youtube.
I replaced the crews with new screws that fit to the helicoil threat and now the handle is safely secured.

KESC307 Oven Door

Hi Mcrae...

Generally, the procedure is a straightforward mechanical one.

First, check below the door for screws and remove them. Next, open the door and find the screws on the side and inside of the door. Remove them. Careful...when the door panel comes off, the door will be much lighter and will slam closed if not restrained. The panel should 'fall away' from the door. Have someone assist you here! At each stage, take a digital picture of the disassembly so you can assist yourself in putting it back. Clean the glass with a blue cleaner and buff out. Use a scrubby or very fine steel wool to gently remove any stains from the old glass you're reusing. Do this on a bedding of newspaper. Always handle glass by the edges.

When installing the glass, it should generally be apparent which way it goes in. Some glasses have patterns on them which correspond to the door opening...if it is the outer which is being replaced. Note them. There may be an up or down as as a result. Any foils or patterns are positioned to the direction you won't have access to later.

You'll likely need a second pair of hands to put it all back together. Take your time. Don't force anything. Tighten screws evenly.

How to take apart oven door

you need to remove the door. On your model just grab the door and lift and it should lift right off. Then remove the screws that run along the bottom of the door. Remove the bottom trim and the glass should slide down and off. Reverse to assemble
