Have you tried a signal booster, i really do think that will help. Your reception can be to do with a few thing's, i.e. Position of your tv, Faulty receiver on your main (outside) aerial, A breakage or fault with the aerial cable coming from outside aerial to tv, or your outside aerial can just simply have a bad signal.

Since cable channels are digital, the problem is not caused by interference. With digital channel interference causes noise (no audio or white noise), rather than reproducing analog signals from different channels. The problem is the Rogers box. The Rogers box has features that allow you to listen and watch more channels at the same time. In normal condition this can only be done activating PIP features.
Your Rogers box is instead broadcasting double audio on channel probably because faulty.

If the second audio is very faint, there is also the possibility of an analog radio signal interference being caught by one of the audio wires. In that case the sound will not be a TV channel audio, but a radio channel from local transmission.

If you get audio from two different TV (or digital radio) channels at the same time, then you probably have a defective Rogers box.
Try disconnecting box power cord for five minutes. Also test using different connection to TV if possible.
If that does not work, call the number listed in Rogers documentation. The operator will ask to perform a simple test on the box, and then willl eventually send you a new box.

Your TV is a High-Def TV (HDTV) therefore you need a Rogers cable box and service capable of High-Definition in order to get the HD resolution you paid for with the HDTV. HD video requires HDMI or component video cable connections. Standard RCA AV (yellow, white, red) will not show HD video.

Having said that, you may want to hookup a game or VCR to the TV and therefore you will need to get a cable known as an AV miniplug. It has RCA (3) on one end for the VCR for example and on the other end is a Mini-plug to connect to the HDTV (Sharp). This cable is like the ones used on camcorders such as Sony. Make sure you get a cable with the right ends as depicted in your manual on page 14.

You'll have to Google online for a supplier. had these cables but are out of stock currently.

Rogers cable is using what they call "switch digital" this allows more channels to be placed on the platform they are using to give you more stations. This basically means people on the same line that you are, are not watching this station so they put that station "off" until someone tunes into it.

I have succesfully connected my dynex 32" lcd hdtv 720p 60hz to my rogers digital box and my xbox but i only have room to connect my audio cables for my surround sound speakers to my tv cables there is no...

What cables are you using for the XBOX and the digital box? What surround sound system are you using (what receiver)? Which model of Dynex 32" TV do you have? Looking at the DX-L32-10A, I can connect both devices to the TV and then the audio out to the surround sound system.

If HDMI, then that will carry the audio to the TV and then you would need an audio cable from the audio out on the TV to the surround sound speakers. Similarly, if you use component video and the audio cable combination, there are 2 component video jacks and 3 audio-in jacks on the rear of the TV. Then connect another cable from the audio out of the TV to the surround sound system. (This TV has one audio out and a headphone jack.)

If you previously had the audio going from the Rogers digital box directly to the surround sound system, you need to reroute things unless there are two or more sets of audio in jacks on the surround sound system. Some surround sound system can take several HDMI in cables and then route it to the TV on a HDMI out port.

Without more information, I can't be sure of the best option for your cables.

I hope this gets you started and please provide more information for additional suggestions.

That I don't think you can do - the CC is fed by the digital tuner, while the subtitles are fed by the DVD player.

Turn off tv power

First your tv will always go into "Standby" when it receives a "Power off" signal. Made that way. Second, It is never a good thing to have your tv power plugged into a "Switched" outlet on a Cable ot Sat box or some other Component. The tv should be always be plugged into the wall outlet or through a very good surge protector.
