Question about Epson CX4200 All-In-One PSC Printer

Epson CX4200 All lights flashing: error says " shut off printer, remove foreign objects from printer, wait a couple minutes and then turn on the printer". I did that but the problem is still there. I called tech support and they told me to take the printer to a repair shop. Anybody have the same problem and have a fix for this besides a hammer ?

I have the same problem. It started after i had to give the paper a little tug to get it out. There is no paper left in the printer.

Well apparently there was a little tiny piece of paper stuck in there that I could not see. My computer tech found it and boy did I feel stupid.

I just Fixed the error of All Lights Flashing on my epson cx4200 printer.
Solution: I Totally unpluged the printer from 110 power source
then waited 3 minutes, then press the On button and let the printer run thru its normal noises during start cycle.
Originally I tried to just turn printer off with the off/on button but this did not ix the problem.
So make sure you TOTALLY disconnect the printer from the 110 AC power source.
Hope this helps.

Ink light and paper light flash alternatively, printer does not work

Hi - According to the Epson manual that error indicates that paper may be blocking movement of the print head.
Turn off the printer, then open the cover and remove any jammed paper or foreign objects. Turn the printer on. If the lights continue to flash you're most likely going to need a dealer service.
Hope it's the paper.
Good Luck, Mikeywaf

Printer will not print. error messge number 5100A paper does not feed

My Epson CX4200 was flashing error for apparently no reason. I was instructed to remove any obstruction, unplug, and wait several minutes before turning it back on. I could find no obstruction and the unplugging wasn't working. Finally I turned the machine upside down and shook it violently. This must have dislodged some particle I could not see because the printer now works fine.

Foreign object

It appears as though the printer hardware itself is malfunctioning and will require service.
