BenQ FP71G 17" LCD Monitor Logo
Anonymous Posted on Aug 11, 2009

The monitor turns white immediately after being turned on for about two seconds; and then immediately turns off leaving an un-powered screen. Repeating this process to gain access the control buttons does not work. It appears that the control panel buttons are inaccessible when the screen is either exclusively white, and when the monitor screen turns black after automatic shutdown. I have not found any comments or solutions to date for this specific problem. If anyone else has experienced this problem and found a solution; I'd dearly love to know.

Hmmmmm......There have been no additions of graphic cards or software updates in the last several months. The problem started instantly between semi-weekly use. The monitor is <1 year old and the computor is used sporadically (twice per week).

I've just had the computor stripped and reformatted yesterday; and still the same problem exists.

    Is this additional info helpful??

OK!! The monitor is officially dead. I'm told by examination that the effort to fix the problem outwieghs the cost and time. Now I know, and so do you.

What do you have the monitor plugged into? The Set Top Box or the Wall?

The problem is most likely you graphics card, if you have installed more than one graphics card you will most likely not get any picture from this.
remove any newly installed graphics card until you have installed the drivers for the latest one.

Flip Mino won't turn on!

I had the same problem. Here are the steps I took to fix it.

1. Adjust the power options on your laptop to ensure it does not sleep/hiberate ever.
2. Reset the camcorder by inserting a paperclip into the hole in the tripod mount. Hold the paperclip in there for about seven seconds.
3. Then immediately plug the flip into the cpu.
4. You may not see anything besides the little blinking white light on the USB arm for a while (about 30 minutes maybe) but leave it in.
5. Eventually it should spring to life and show the recharging battery on the little screen (the Flip Share program may start too.)
6. Leave it charging until the little white light stops flashing - full charge about 3 hours.
7. You can then remove the flip and change the power settings back to normal.

Lg 22 " monitor

This is called Burn In or LCD residue. Normal wear on monitors. To save this from happening quicker, when the monitor is not being used, just press the monitor power button and shut the screen down instead of using the screen saver. You can still leave the computer running, when your ready to use it again just turn on the power button to the monitor.

Monitor Black, Green Power Light Flashes Monitor is 4 yrs. old

Assuming you've already checked your driver and system settings, tried a different monitor, and checked the cable and connector pins, this would almost certainly be a problem with the power or signal circuit board inside the monitor.

The screen is white

This is the internal video card of the monitor.
It has either failed, or the cable that connects it to the LCD panel has come out of either the video card or the panel.

Hope that helps =)
