I have APC UPS Power Chute Business Edition

I have APC UPS Power Chute Business Edition Software on my Dell laptop.It connects find to the APC Smart UPS using the serial port and opening with the Web Broswer. I installed the same software on my Panasonic Laptop. I can connect to the APC UPS using hyperterminal however it will not connect using the web browser. I have disabled all the virus protection ect. Still will not connect. Any ideas where to go from this point? Thanks
