Question about Motherboards

Acer Aspire 1360 d/c input port

Acer Aspire 1360 Lapop
I have had problems with charging the battery staying charged for more than 20 minutes and or when battery is dead, I need to plug in the house power outlet, however, the outlet plug in port or the wiring source, has been destroyed and I need to replace and or tie into the wiring with a couple of wires to the place where the input was, ( I since have removed the little black part that the input plug, plugged into tied into direct whiched wored for some time, but now, it will not stay connected, ...what I need to do, is tie into the mother board with wires with another input component, but the board does not respond when using a tester. so inorder to locate the sorces, i need a schematic to allow an outside source to power up and charge the battery. I know that this is unorthodox and not recommended, but as a individual that canot afford to put in to a repair shop, (based upon the prices quoted me) I need to acquire a schematic to follow the solder trail, so I can tie into the proper sources, . Please just allow me to acquire a schematic of the wirng diagram. Please?
I just need to aquire a wiring diagram so I can repair my laptop. The DC port has all but been destroyred. I need to make a remedy. I have all but exhausted my attempts to locate a local or web source. A wiring diagram will allow me to do that. thank you so very very much.

Re: Acer Aspire 1360 d/c input port

I have the exact same problem, the dc jack port pin as come off of the motherboard I do not know where to even try to solder it. I hate their input jacks, the laptop, a Acer aspire 5570, is only 6 months old, and useless, because i cannot charge the battery or use the charger directly. What a poor design, designed to wear out. So I just end up buying a stand alone external battery charger online from at least i will be able to charge the battery and put it in the laptop

The battery wont stay charged

This is the result that you get if you have over-charged your battery or if you have been using it for quite a long time.
After prolonged use of any device, the battery is prone to begin to die quickly or never charge completely as it seems to be coming closer to the period where it has reached it specified life time.
In this case, the only thing you can do is to change or replace the battery with a new one.
Although, some other factors causing this problem include poor contact between the battery ports and the terminal points of the device.
If you need extra information on this issue, you can comment here and i would help you make a thorough research.

Is the laptop under warranty? If yes, then take it to the authorized service station, they shall repair it free of cost. If not, then how old is the laptop? How much battery backup does it provide when it is fully charged?

Acer 7520 charging problem

Try another battery in the laptop to make sure the battery isn't bad. If you do that and the battery still doesn't charge then go ahead and try a different ac adapter.

If neither of these two steps solve it then it could be that the solder points underneath the DC Jack have hairline cracks in them. If this is the case then you'll have to get the motherboard out of the laptop and then with a soldering machine and some solder, you'll have to resolder all the solder points of the DC Jack to solve the problem.

That should take care of the problem but if it still doesn't charge then the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

Laptop not charging the battery

yeah, u tried all the thing which a layman could have done, r u familiar with the use of multimeter??

if so plz, open up the other laptop carefully, switch it on!!

with use of multimeter check the current, n voltage at the battery port.

then do the same with ur lappy.

repeat the thing for 2- times.

if both the reading r same ur battery will be charging but the there a BIOS fault, which can be fixed with little help from techincal support.

n plz tell the does ur lappy run if a charged battery is placed??

as u said the I guess the problem lies inbetween ur lappy n the motherboard.

if the readings r different, then maybe ur charging unit is damaged, kindlly replace it !!

all the best, thank u!!

plz take precautions n a well calibratied multimeter !!

thank u !!

if my solution is appropriate the plz vote me.. thank u!!

You cannot visually inspect laptop components to verify component level damage. You may have damages something in the motherboard tracers, or popped a solder loose, or worse, created a micro fracture in one of the surface mounted chips.

Before going further, i would suggest you thoroughly test the battery, or power supply for charging the laptop, as well as make sure the power connector jack on the motherboard is not damaged in any way. If the jack is the problem, they are quite easy to replace, but knowledge with soldering on delicate components may be necessary.

I would have suggested requesting an RMA if the laptop was still under warranty, but by removing the motherboard to inspect it, you have voided any warranty you may have had.
