plug this unit into a receptacle with a lamp also in the recept. unit will try to start the lamp will dim for a couple seconds and go back bright unit wont start maybe fan but no comp. sit and watch a few minutes later lamp will go dim again then back to bright, this is a classic low tech way of confirming the comp is trying but not working possible bad run capacitor, much cheaper than new unit

I have a Fedders A7DH65B2A dehumidifier and it has worked fine for a couple of years. In the last month it shut off and now won't power up. When plugged in, the control panel will not even light up. Seems totally dead. Do you have any adice? Is there a fuse on the unit? Please advise.
