My PC just stopped showing anything on the screen but looked to be working so I replaced the Video card still no good I have replaced the Motherboard, CPU, Power box, and now it just starts to boot then beeps once and stops. The Power box was a 450 Watt and I replaced it with a 350 Watt box could that be the problem?

This could be a problem with your operating system. Does anything on the screen display as soon as you push the power button? Did the problem start occering after you installed the new Power Supply?

You've replaced quite a bit. I'm figuring that your monitor was OK when you replaced the video card. If your PC has on-board video, it needs to be disabled in the BIOS before inserting a video card..

Then, reinstall the old 450W power supply to see if there is any change.

If still a problem, I would suggest testing the memory. Test one module at a time to see which is faulty.

Hope this helps.

Laptop works but cannot display anything from primary or secondary screen, I need ideas!

If it will not detect/display through the VGA as well, then I would have to say that your video card is shot. The video card is onboard in most laptops, so I doubt it can be replaced. If it's 4 years old then the warranty is definitely expired.

Possible solutions:
A:) Contact the manufacturer and see if they are willing to do anything about the situation. Probably not, but sometimes companies will surprise you. It never hurts to ask.
B:) Pay the manufacturer to replace your motherboard.
C:) Buy a similar model off of Ebay and use it for parts.
D:) Get an external video card and make it into the multimedia machine you were talking about.
E:) I hate to even waste time mentioning it, but there is always the option of doing nothing, but if you can repair the machine for free or at least pretty cheap, then it may be worth it before purchasing a replacement.

Lines at bottom of screen on asus x83v

Your lcd screen is going bad or your video card inside the computer is bad. To isolate the problem Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the laptop. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok then your video card is good and the lcd screen on your laptop is bad. If the Borrowed monitor displays the same lines as your lcd screen, then your video card inside the computer is bad.

The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

Computer left near heater screen has all lines on it is it fixable

Sure you can replace the lcd screen. But I would attach an external monitor to it to see if the display shows up to verify that the video card is good. If the video card is good (shows on external monitor), then the Screen is bad.

Sometimes the Laptop works pretty good, but sometimes the screen blinks, and few others doesnt show anything. I took the laptop to a store, they say the circuits, lamp, cable are ok, but the LCD needs to...

Hi

If the LCD screen is blinking most of the tiem its an LCD problem and LCD needs to be replaced but ther are cases that it only needs a driver update from your video card. I recommend you do that first. Try to call Toshiba to check and give you the updated driver for your video card. If problem persists after updating the driver sadly you need to change your LCD as they suggested. Thanks

Hello,

You may have a faulty video card. Test this card with a know working pc. If your video is embedded on your main board, try using a PCi video card.

Good Luck.

Black screen even the power is ok!!

Your Intel D850MV motherboard uses an AGP video card. There is no onboard video (built into the motherboard). Before replacing the video card try swapping out your monitor with another. Check for display. When the system is powered on can you hear the internals running? If the swapped out monitor does not show display you'll have to replace the AGP video card. The Intel D850MV motherboard only supports AGP cards that run at 1.5volts only & can run at 2x or 4x speed. Intel shows the difference between compatible 1.5v AGP card connector & the 3.3v non compatible video card connector. Click on the Intel link to see this; http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-009010.htm This next link shows a compatible AGP video card that will replace your old card; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4116644&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs Thanks for using fixya

Graphic card doesn't show program screen

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, it sounds like your resolution may be set too high, try lowering it and slowly raising it higher untill you see were it stops working and it peeks out, this is a matter of your pc having better resolution then your screen can handle. Good Luck and please leave me feedback as I am new to this site and need to build a good rep. Let me know if you have any more problems.

Black screen

Hey there everett 403, my first suggestion would be that your video card is malfunctioning. You have not mentioned if you installed one. If you have one installed, begin by removing it and switching your monitor connection to the onboard port. If this works to get the screen working, then next step is to replace the video card. If it is still not working, try removing your ram. Check it for damage of any sort. If good, reinstall and ensure to seat properly. I would also check the light on your motherboard. If it flashes, there may be a problem with your board, such as burnt capacitors. If these solutions do not solve, please include info on configuration and peripherals, and anything different you have been doing with your machine as of late. Good Luck!
