First, check that the ignitor is working properly. It should glow visibly if it is working. If the ignitor seems to be functioning properly, then I would suspect the gas valve coils. These electrical coils are right above the gas valves and when these solenoids are energized they open the gas valves and permit the burner to light. If they are faulty, the gas valves don't open so no gas gets to the burner. Due to the difficulty in testing these solenoids, it is recommended that both (all) be replaced at the same time if any are suspected of being faulty. Hope this helps and best wishes.

Whirlpool AWZ 410 washer dryer is not generating any hot air when drying. The dryer drum is tumbling but with cool air only.

Unplug the unit and take the top with the screws holding the lid on. Take a look at all of the wires on the top of the machine. You might notice broken/burnt wires on the safeties that are close to or that directly activate the heating element located in the blower housing located at the top of this washer/dryer condensing unit.

Dyer really hot, not drying clothes

Is the dryer tumbling? If not, you may have a broken belt or some other drive assembly issue.

Also, turn the dryer on and go outside to the vent discharge - you should feel air coming out at a pretty good clip. If not, the vent line is obstructed and will need to be cleaned out.

It's working fine....but isn't getting hot at all, so just cold air tumbling my washing. I'n sure this can't be beyond me to fix!

It sounds like an element has burned out. They are replaceable but I would recommend having a serviceperson do this, unless you are familiar with electrical connections on heavy duty appliances.

Will not dry

Does it get hot?
Dryers have 3 functions to perform:
Tumbling
Air flow
Controlled heat
Test for each, and fix the one that is not functioning. Remove vent tube to test for air flow.
