Hold the eject button down for around 10 seconds until you hear a loud clicking noise or when the blue light starts flashing. If that doesn't work you have to call Sony for service at 1-800-345-7669

How to i eject a disk from my mac computer

I'm thinking it is working normally, so you can either:
1) Select the disk (or open a folder inside that disk) and press Command+E and that should EJECT the disk.
2) Drag the disk to the trash

If the computer is not ejecting the disk after that then you have a problem with the hardware. The next step would be trying to eject it while restarting.
tip

DVD player in my home theater system won't eject the disk inside.

When a disk is stuck inside the player , try following the procedure below:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power.
Turn on the unit and press repeatedly the eject button at the same time. If you successeed in ejecting the disk before the player starts reading TOC(disk initial track), then the disk will eject.
If that does not work, then there is an internal fault, in that case the unit must be disassembled to remove the disk.

How do eject disc from my mac os x

Every Mac that has an optical drive has an eject key on the keyboard. Pressing the eject key will eject a CD or DVD.

The eject key has this icon on it: ?

You can also right-click on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the pop-up menu.

You can also click once on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the File menu.

You can also drag the icon to the Trash icon in the dock.

The eject key will only eject CDs and DVDs, but all of the other methods described above will also unmount other media types, like a hard drive or flash drive connected via USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt.

Disk will not eject

Unplug the drive. insert a paperclip in the hole in the back of the drive. This will manually eject the disk. You can also open the cover but that's a lot more work than you need to go through when a simple paperclip will move the manual eject lever.

Zip drive does not eject the disk and will not power up.

To the left of the Eject Button/Activity Light is a Disk Eject Hole. It will be a very small hole big enough for you to straighten out a paperclip and push in to hit the eject the disk
