I am getting internet usage charges on my prada. I haven't been using the internet. could it be when I receive pictures? Is the phone not set up properly. I'm on the Rogers network.

yes sir you need to set up internet on your phone in order to use the mms service.contact your service provider to get the settings for mms and internet.

It sounds to me as though you need to have your phone "enabled" by the network. So ring up Orange or 3G or 02 whoever you use and get the phone enabled the CA Certificate will probably mean a code of some description to enable you to access internet. Its not expensive but they do charge so watch you usage!! If you are paying Broadband its like a double charge. But hey whatever you enjoy.

Call your phone company. You probably need to have them set up what is called a SCN or Service Center Number so you can receive pictures. Otherwise you need to add picture messaging to your plan. Either way, just give your phone company a call, they can get you back on track :)

Ok, i had this exact problem too but it was really easy to use, if you have T-Mobile it is really easy, i called T Mobile and told them that my mms doesn't work so the lady was really nice and they just trasnfer you to the department that deals with phones that aren't originally a T Mobile branded phone and she sent me a text message. It says mms support, and she will tell you to select options on the message, then save all, and then when you go to messages on your phone then setting then multimedia messageing setting you can activate the thing she just sent you and thats it it works. It sounds a little confusing but its really easy the person will walk you threw it step by step, it literally takes about 5 minutes so i was really happy.

PS. make sure you are not calling customer care from your prada phone, make sure its from a different phone! Happy picture messaging!

My phone displays " cannot answer call while using S/W upgrade" What caused this and the screen stays like this making the phone immobile. Cant receive or make calls yet Im still being charged for my phone services.

talk to your tech, at the service provider keosk, you may be having problems with internet access.

I have a gsm phone with a rogers chip. Since it's not a rogers phone it's not hooked up to the internet, nor am I able to get video/picture msgs as a result.

Yes I agree the manual is not too helpful which is why this forum is buzzing!  I have posted information in 'tips and tricks' regarding media files (pictures mp3s etc).  The first thing to remember when sending files to your phone is that they have to be done one at a time as the phone memory is limited.  The phone has a memory card inside it which is extra/external to the phone memory.  What is confusing is that you cannot send files directly to this memory card so each file you send to the phone has to be moved to the 'external memory' before you send another to the phone.  Regarding email; you need to call your service provider and register with them.  Then ask them to send the relevant codes and instructions to set up picture messaging, email/internet.  Their instructions should be pretty easy to follow as they gear them exactly for the lg prada phone menu settings. I'm having the exact problem. I've took the battery, SD card, and SIMS card out and put it back in many times but nothing works. It freezes at the PRADA logo! Help!

Proxy port is 9201
Proxy IP is 216.155.165.50
Internet mode is WAP
Profile name is T-Mo MMS
MMSC is http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
